Will you be able to access my computer without my permission? What are the software requirements? Technicians can often work on computers that use dial up but it is easier working on those with high speed internet. Make sure your internet is working. Many require that Windows 2000 or newer be intalled.

What is the normal repair time? The amount of time needed will depend on the problem. If you have a virus or spyware issue, those can normally be solved within a few hours or less. If it is merely a preventative maintenance session, it may take more time.

It may be necessary to have a technician physically look at your computer. In this instance, the company may have someone in your area who can do this.

If only there was some kind of drunkenness detector that could stop you from baring your virtual soul to loved ones and authority figures after a night on the funny juice. Well, now there is.

Google have just unveiled a feature for Gmail called Mail Goggles. It allows you to specify times and days when you fear you might be a bit tipsy (say, after 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays) - and if you try to send an email after that, it’ll force you to take a sobriety test.
