You’ve spent months building your first website, assuming that once it was done, people would ‘just find it’. Unfortunately that isn’t the case, you have to work to get traffic. Then, as our online businesses grow, we continue to work on ways to get more visitors to them since more traffic translates into bigger lists, faster testing and most importantly more profits. Today I want to share an easy 3 step process with you that I use to continue to generate increased online traffic to my sites each week.
Step 1 - Find Your Keyword
The first step is to use your favorite keyword research tool to find keywords that you can rank for easily. These are usually long tail keywords that consist of three or more words. You want to pick one you can write an article about that’s helpful to the readers of your site. Then move on to step two.
Step 2 - Add A Page To Your Website
Now it’s time to write the content. This will be a new post on your blog or a new page for your website. When you write your title, include the key phrase toward the beginning. The sooner the better. You will also use it as the anchor text to link to this new article in your site navigation. I like to manage my sites using the wordpress blogging software (it’s free), because it creates this interal linking structure for me.
I also like to use the keyword again in the first 100 words or so of my article. Depending on how long my content is, I may work it in one or two more times. Don’t use your keyphrases to often or you may be penalized for keyword stuffing and make sure your content flows well and is easy to read. Get the content on your website and let’s get working on the last step in this process.
Step 3 - Link Building
Last but not least it’s time to build dome links to this new article or blog post. There are two big reasons to do this right away. The first is that links connect all the various pages of the internet and search engines employ little programs called ’spiders’ that will go out and crawl from one link to the next to find and index new content. To make sure your new post or page is found, you need to link to it, ideally from several different websites. Links are like votes . The more of these link votes your page gets, the higher it will rank in the search engines. This is the other reason to work on link building. Some ideas for building links are to use social bookmarking sites, link directories, write articles that include a link back to your site in the author resource or to write guest blog posts. These are just a few ideas to get you started. I invite you to learn more about link building at www.EasyLinkLove.com/adv
That’s it … now it’s simply a matter of finding more easy to rank for keywords, write good content and add it to your site and then continue to build links on a regular basis until you are ranking on page one of the search engines for the keyword you are after. This will send free traffic to your site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Comparably, the number of websites could be as many as the sand in the beach. There are millions of websites out there, each poised to inform, sell, advice, entertain and some just to lambast. Whatever the reasons can be, a site owner/ manager still has to think of web traffic. After all, web traffic is as important as the site itself. How do you reach out to your targeted traffic?
First you have to understand what web traffic is really all about. It doesn’t always mean that high web traffic is good or that too low traffic is bad. Web traffic is basically the number of visitors that check out your site and the number of pages they visit. A site owner/ manager should monitor incoming and outgoing traffic to see which part or pages of their site is so popular. This is usually determined by the number of visits and the duration each visitor spends on that particular page. One can derive obvious trends such as a specific page or topic that has been viewed by people from a particular country. Once this has been determined, site owners/ managers quickly adapt to the trend so they can capture that market.
he most common method of having your website visited is through advertising and being found by search engines. Good old advertising strategies can come in the form of bulk mails, pop-up ads and page advertising. These get the job done – at a cost. It can also be tedious since you will have to find a reputable company who would sell you these data or carry your ads. Search engines on the other hand work by popularity: the more technically searchable the website the more chances it lands on the first page of the results. If your web site is not on the first pages, you can most likely forget about being found. Not a lot of searchers go to the succeeding pages of the results so if you are not that searchable, then there goes your potential visitor.
Some internet guru then introduced viral traffic. Like a biological virus, it is spread from a carrier to another person. Basically, your existing website visitors, customers or subscribers refer other folks to your website. It can also be when another webmaster sends traffic to your site. This is considered the best way to get traffic since you get your inflow of visitors and you let others do the work for you. Your surge of visitors exponentially increases. Viral advertising can be in the form of free email services, free greeting cards, and e-books, just to name a few.
Viral advertising can come in many forms, but the most common ones are the free email services, free greeting cards and e-books. Since there are a lot of options available for you, you still need to evaluate your web traffic needs and find out which one works for you. There are sites that use scripts that allow site owners to refer their traffic to you. Some include a search engine submission page where that page either refers it to a friend or links it back to them.
Think about your web traffic possibilities! But before you go make any major upgrades, know where your targeted market is coming from. Viral traffic is getting to be a popular method of getting them to your site. Viral advertising is the perfect way to get that traffic directed to your site. And you don’t even have to do all the work!
